Did you ever wake up in the morning warm and fuzzy? Then as you really woke up, you were a bit cold and wet and then you realized you wet the bed and are lying in a urine soaked mess that YOU have to clean up...

Well folks, I hope you have fresh sheets ready!

• MSN reports 1 of 5 municipalities are OUT of Recession and starting to recover...
• The DOW broke 10,000 yesterday...
• A thousand jobs saved or created in Texas from stimulus (Just over 30,000 nationwide) is breaking news...

You have got to be kidding me. 9.8% (more like 17% if you count everyone) are out of work or doing whatever they can to just survive. I would venture to bet that Ramen Noodles and PB&J are the only things moving off the shelves at most grocery stores in any quantity... AND Health Care Lobbying is about to hit UNREAL amounts of money! (Where does that go by the way?)

So lets see, Obama says "3.5 million saved or created" by stimulus by end of 2010... lets do some math...

30,000 in to be fair 5 months, just to give the government time to get their promise organized. That equals averaging 6,000 jobs a month NATIONWIDE! To meet Obama numbers we would have to wait 583 months (48.6 years for those of you keeping score) to hit his mythical projection.

OK, I know your saying "But the funds don't start flowing until 2010 from the stimulus...". Well, first, why did we BACK load a plan when we needed relief immediately? OH, election-protection, I forgot. OK Lets do some more math then...

Lets assume that 10 times the 6,000 jobs or 60,000 jobs nationwide is the average for 2010. A better number right? WRONG! Still 58 months before we hit the promise number. (4.8 years)

So what will it take? Let's round this thing off to be safe and say that to hit his number of 3,500,000 jobs 2010 would have to see (removing some for the rest of 2009 to be safe) an average of 250,000 jobs per month! Now, those numbers would impact our unemployment rate wouldn't they? Heck we would have to import workers just to keep up with all the work flowing out there! (Not really, because so many are out of work now)

So, providing citizens don't stay on their government funded butts and go get jobs when they are created, and Obama can create 41 times the jobs in 2010 (per month) that he has in our dire crisis ridden economy and the dollar we get paid is worth more than say a hand full of Ramen Noodles... We will be just fine... It was all a dream and we didn't wet-the-bed!

Who thinks they make enough money? Not many people I would guess...

Who thinks they have a great job? Fewer and fewer recently...

Who is the upper crust of the US Society? Not who you would think... unless your one of them!

Status is an interesting thing... It makes us feel important, and is a measured, public facing thing that places value on our lives... But enough of "beating around the bush"....

Did you know?
That our elected officials don't use the same health care plan as they are pushing for the rest of us...
That our elected officials don't pay or get Social Security benefits...

Let me stop there... Those 2 things are enough to detail here today.

You never fix something right unless YOU know its broken first hand... When YOU feel the pains of a bad design, poor programming, poor workmanship, YOU fix it or replace it... Health care wont truly get "FIXED" until our elected officials have to "eat their own dog food" so to speak...

When your doctor and your health care are something you deal with... truly deal with... The Statements of Benefit (you cant understand), the denial of service, rate hike or never ending circus of "specialists" are enough to make the average person dizzy. But did you know that the same people who want to "over-haul" our system... DO NOT EVEN USE IT! THey have their own plan, their own system...

Here is an idea... Let's all use what they have!

Then there is Social Security... We pay into it, we end up drawing from it, just enough to survive our twilight years if we are lucky... Did you know that our elected "clowns" get more in one MONTH of retirement than we will draw in our entire retired LIFE?

They (and their spouses) get huge packages paid for by you and I, that set them up on easy street... for life... Hundreds of thousands of dollars per year that they don't pay into a pool to receive (it costs them NOTHING) and they get for the rest of their life! (Which lasts longer due to their better health care no doubt)

This makes me SICK!

We may vote out all the dumb-asses who don't get it in 2010... But they will still get paid more than 95% of our citizenship... for the rest of their life...

The best part... They keep voting themselves raises! What a concept....

Well, October brings a release of new un-employment data and economic indicators to make us all feel as good as possible... Without raising red flags and shooting down the Obama Stimulus plan. Ok, well, let's just say the new numbers are out and this month is no different than I reported last month.

Our OFFICIAL rate has now climbed to 9.8%! and another buried adjustment to report:

"The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for July was revised from -276,000 to -304,000, and the change for August was revised from -216,000 to -201,000." from the official release found here...

Very similar to what I had in this post less than 2 weeks ago where I noticed some buried information...

Again, we are revising our numbers, in this case by another -13,000 worse than reported... Yet, little or no mention of this in the media and no real revision of the official rate for July or August.

If the raw underlying data is changing, the rate is changing... that is simple math and nobody is doing it!

So, lets not talk about the official plus Discouraged Workers plus marginally attached plus part-time hitting 17% either... That would make it sound like things are just not as rosy as being spun in Washington...

How much longer before someone starts reporting on this?
